Introduced to the need for investigating effective learning strategies while working for an international training organization in Cairo, Egypt. Since then, Sandy has spent 16 years ensuring compliance of learner-focused training in topics ranging from explosive incident countermeasures for bomb technicians to rural border operations and from leadership in the classroom to community engagement and human rights.
Sandy holds degrees from Auburn University and George Washington University. She served in the Foreign Service and was stationed in the Philippines, Belgium, and India. Her passions in learning and life are honoring cultural differences and embracing different learning styles, recognizing that everyone has something unique to offer if the right strategies are used.
